Amy was born into the line of ranchers. Her mother Renee is the daughter of Neil the onwer of AMEC. That means Amy will one day inheret the ranch. Amy loves living here on the ranch with all of the horses. Theres never a day that goes by when she doesn't have something to do. Amy works on the ranch as a main trainer now since her mothers passing.
Amy's love for horses started out before she could walk or talk. Her mother Renee turned the ranch into a horse ranch. So Amy has grown up with these gentel giants. When Amy was young her mother would put her up on the horses and walk her around. Amy just thought it was the best thing ever.
When Amy was 6 her mother bought Clyde. He was a Clydesdale. This is the horse Amy learned to ride on. Amy was so happy to finally have a horse that wasn't hurt, being trained, or going to a new home. This was a horse she could call her own!
A few years later Amy's mother bought another Clydesdale named Bonnie. Then she bought AMEC Rolling Thunder. Shortly after that her mother bought Serenitiy. Amy was so happy that her mother was finally getting horses that they could keep. However Her grandfather Neil did not like the idea one bit. But Renee and Amy talked him into it.
Amy learned the basics of caring for the horses and running the ranch from her mother. She also learned that there was a lot of hard work involved as well. Amy didn't care though she loved every minute of it. As Amy grew older her mother bought more and more horses. Soon they had enough to start a breeding program. Amy was so excited to be able to help in the training of the young foals. And had no idea that she would soon find one of her own.
A few years had passed and Amy was out riding one of the mares they had. When Amy found a young foal. This foal was in bad shape Amy knew at once she must take this filly so that she could have a better life. Amy rode home to tell her mother about the foal she had found. Amy and her mother left later that night after dinner to go get the filly. They got her and brought her home. AMEC April Showers is her name. Amy couldnt imagin life without her now. There bond is so strong since little April was so young when they took her Amy had to bottle feed her.
As soon as the little filly was ready to be trained Amy started training her. Amy wanted to show jump with her. Amys mother helped her achieve this. Soon Amy and April where bringing in the gold trophys. Amy's mother and grandfather were so proud of her.
Shortly after Amy had started showing little April her mother had an accident. One that Amy would never forget. Amy was 16 when it happened. She had gone to bed after a late dinner where her mother didn't show up. That was not like her mother at all, but Amy didn't think much of it because her mother was training Thunder for showing. Amy's grandfather went out to check on her mother to make sure all was well. Sadly it was not. Amy lost her mother that night and almost lost Thunder.
Amy stopped riding and doing anything with the horses for a long time. All she would do is sit in her room and cry because she missed her mother so much. About 5 months this went on. Then one day at school a new boy arived. His name was Ty. Amy was immeditally attracted to him. Shortly after they had started dating. Ty helped Amy pull through all the saddness she still had lingering about her mothers death. He even got Amy back in the saddle and caring for the horses.
So Amy has had a few rough spots but has pulled through all of them. She is now showing AMEC April Showers again and still dating Ty. Amy is looking forward to taking over the ranch when she is ready and her grandfather retires or passes away.
